“Life is for the living. Death is for the dead. Let life be like music. And death a note unsaid.” ~ Langston Hughes. Today’s featured poet for National Poetry Month is Langston Hughes! Langston Hughes (1901–1967) was an American poet and Harlem Renaissance figure who focused on the African American experience. His blend of themes jazz, identity, and resilience made him one of the most influential voices in American literature. Join in on the celebration of poetry by picking up one of his collections at the SUNY Orange Library found in both the Newburgh and Middletown campuses 📜🪶✨Created by: Catherine Raciti
