A tornado and severe weather outbreak is increasingly likely across the Plains! Over the next 7-days, there is a severe risk for parts of the region. The first severe risk is Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. This will be an isolated, low-end severe risk for mainly large hail and damaging wind gust for parts of west Texas, western, northern and central Oklahoma and Kansas. A higher severe risk develops over the weekend into early next week, in which the severity and coverage of the severe storms will be significantly higher. Tornadoes, destructive hail, damaging winds and flash flooding are all possible Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, impacting highly populated areas. These risk areas will likely be expanded over the coming days so make sure you're frequently checking the forecast for updates.
