Employee Spotlight: Get to Know Paint Supervisor Gary

Gary has spent the last 27 years perfecting his craft, but his passion for paint started long before aviation. At just 16 years old, he completed his very first project on his sister's car, and he's been honing his skills ever since.

Throughout his 23 years at Elliott Aviation, Gary has progressed from Paint Technician to Crew Chief before becoming Paint Supervisor. One of his favorite parts of the job is the variety each project brings, from simple stripes to full custom paint schemes. What stands out most to him, though, are the relationships he's built with customers, vendors, and teammates who are always willing to lend a hand.

One of the best lessons Gary has learned is to grow from your mistakes, and it's a mindset that continues to shape both his work and his leadership. It's also the advice he shares with those entering the industry: stick with it, work hard, and apply what you learn. It's a rewarding career for those willing to put in the effort.

When he's away from the hangar, you'll find Gary building and painting hovercrafts, fishing, camping, or spending time with his family.
