Porter report 09/16/2025

Today I had my second visit with my back surgeon to read my second x-ray after surgery. He liked the way my back is healing and wants to see one more in three months. I was also told that those healing process is going to take at least six more months before I will have no more back stiffness and stuff in my stomach that feels like it’s moving around, WOO’. For the most part I feel better then good but not great just yet, I take two naps after waking up just about every day. On my gigs I start to run out of gas about two and a half hours of playing, that too is going to take some time to get back, but I am in the game so lets play music. This past Monday night was very interesting and fun. In fact I am going to look at it to see how much fun it was. Michael Lemmler was on tour with saxophonist Jason Mingledorff for a week so we played it as a Trio, Chris Adkins, Terrence Houston and Myself a power trio a lot of fun, like I said I am going to go to The Maple Leaf Live on YouTube and look at the gig for those who have not seen it yet come on down or tune in not sure how that works, see link below.

Hello Everyone’ we are 6 hours into our 10 hour drive or the half way point in Virginia to our hotel in Norwich, NY, tomorrow night. My body is doing very well so far no signs of fatigue. I have taken a nap and ate twice. We are on the road again. O’ also if you missed last nights gig You should go check it out on Maple Leaf Live TV on Youtube it was real good, I played great only dropped the ball once doing the end of Michaels solo in  Buttermilk from Porter’s Pocket.
