📜 HELP US PRESERVE MILLINGTON'S HISTORY 📸

The City of Millington has received a Tennessee America 250 grant to create a museum-quality historical exhibit highlighting the people, places, and events that shaped our community.

The project will explore topics including:

• Woodstock, Cuba, Lucy, Kerrville, Millwood, and Glencoe
• Early Millington businesses and agriculture
• Easley Street and commercial development
• World War I Park Field
• Chickasaw Ordnance Works
• Naval Air Station Memphis and military history

Do you have old photographs, letters, documents, artifacts, memorabilia, or family stories connected to Millington's past?

We are especially interested in original historical materials and would love to locate original photographs that may have appeared in Tracks to the Past: A Pictorial History of Millington, North Shelby County, and South Tipton County (1997).

We hope to tell a complete story of Millington and welcome submissions that reflect the experiences of the many people who helped shape our community, including families, farmers, sharecroppers, military personnel, business owners, educators, civic leaders, and workers from all backgrounds.

You do not need to donate your items unless you want to. In many cases, we may simply scan or photograph materials and return them to you.
