Book Review 📖 ⬇️

I tend to get into a rut of reading the same genre of books - mainly literary fiction and thrillers - so I was excited to step out of my comfort zone a bit and read some fantasy.

I won’t lie, at the beginning of the book, I wasn’t hooked, but I pushed on. I ended up finishing this book in about 3 days. 🤪

Even though for me personally, the beginning was a bit out there - the storyline itself was captivating. By chapter 3, I was in it. I loved the uniqueness of the time period cities and the craziness of Rex’s lineage.

Chester, Rex, and Ava were such a perfectly misfit trio that drew you in and made you keep turning the pages. Each very much different from the others, yet perfectly suited to be a part of each other’s lives.

I ended up really enjoying this read and would recommend this book for an escape from reality. It’s truly a unique storyline with a tiny bit of coming-to-age tied in and character growth to round it out.

He’s done it again! 🖤 I fell in love with Towles’ writing in 2011 with Rules of Civility and I have loved every single one of his novels since. His talent with language and story telling is something I envy and truly enjoy. Not many novels can stand up to the language use that exists in a Towles novel. There’s nothing better than that draws you in and transports you to another time, another place, another world. I highly recommend A Table for Two and any past or future works by Amor Towles. 🖤📚

P.S. His books are just as good in their second and third reads. ☺️

This was such a good read! 🤩📖 It was very well-written and a great story. I enjoyed every word - I highly recommend taking a day or two to sit down and enjoy this book. 🖤
