Warbler Wednesday! I was lucky enough to have this northern parula sit about 8 feet away while eating and singing its heart out. These arent my favorite shots as the sun was harsh, but since I cant control the weather, Ill take what I can get 😂

My favorite local spring/summer visitor, the green heron, has returned, and seeing them made me so incredibly happy. I got stuck in a rut of not going out and not wanting to post, always worries about how well posts do and all that. But that’s not why I do this, even though I forget that sometimes. I have a couple cool things happening that I can’t wait to share, but will be back to more local wildlife in the meantime! My next post is NOT going to be bird related 😱😱 What do you think it will be??

First I woke up with bedhead, then I saw a redhead. Then I went out with a birding buddy and got to see this dapper duck. This was a lifer for me, and it was such a pleasure to see even if it was just for a couple minutes.

I’ve been looking for owls for so long, and finally found some, and have been seeing them in a consistent basis. I sat for 2.5 hours watching this guy, and I think I had a smile plastered on my face for every second of it. I finally dipped my toes into taking video, so I’ll have some cool little clips to show soon.
