Can confirm that like the 400 platform, the 500 also needs a little help in the clutch department with power adders and proper tuning to match 🙃 Despite Kawasaki fitting the 500 with the "heavy duty" clutch from the ZX-4, it still didn't take long the clutch to start loosing its grip as I work on derestricting the bike with my ECU flash development. Yes, all clutches currently listed for the ZX-4 will fit the 500! And a handy trick we have been using on our racing 400's successfully also works here on the new 500 for the more cost conscious. Kawasaki ZX-6 springs (part number 92145-0937) fit both the ninja 400 and 500 and give the clutch extra grip needed to hold onto this extra torque we're kicking out here!

Springs pictured from left to right are: ZX-6, stock 400, stock 500, and Barnett 500 HD springs, in that order. The ZX-6 spring is longest and is built with the thickest wire. Whereas the Barnett is of the same wire thickness of OEM and slightly longer. The 500 clutch spring is the same as the 400 clutch spring but with a slight bump in wire diameter.
