Being in the courtroom, seeing all of the evidence hearing all of the witness testimonies, I do not feel that there was evidence to convict Karmelo of first-degree murder there just was no evidence to support that at all. There was evidence to support a manslaughter charge I feel and there's absolutely evidence to support self-defense. However, that self-defense was excessive in my opinion and that's why I feel a self-defense alone isn't enough to let him walk free, but he did have a right to use the self-defense. He was not the aggressor or the provoker. He was sitting there minding his own business. He was NOT bothering those twins. They started a fight with him. Why are we excusing the actions of his community members?
