Automated external defibrillators (AEDs) can be used by anyone for anyone regardless of their age. However, when using an AED on an infant, there are a few things rescuers need to know. Because of this fact, pediatric pads can be used and, depending on the child's age and weight will have a different pad placement protocol than adults.
These are things that we hope you never need to know, but in preparation for unexpected emergencies can be helpful to know. Read How to Use an AED on an Infant to learn more: https://www.heartsmart.com/blogs/how-to-use-an-aed-on-an-infant/
