2024 you’ve been beautiful. A joy FULL gift of coming into a new level of motherhood as a mom of 2, with a home birth of my dreams and flowing into my full self in my parenting. My proposal for my PhD dissertation on natural practices for mental health healing in postpartum populations was accepted. I continued seeing patients 2 days a week, managed to win a fitness challenge at my gym, and kept up with all the wonderful family and friends in our lives…and now I’m tired. And ready to melt into some delicious solitude and silence going inward more and honoring the divine quiet in me. 2025 is the year of DO LESS. Last year at Lent I asked myself who I would be if no one was watching…I love what I continue to find out. 2025, let’s get weird: I’m ready to lose, to disappoint, to let down, to fail, to be mediocre, to go unseen, to live without the applause. To stop chasing greatness and get really comfy and cozy in good enough. Because I was always enough. And so are you…so while you might see a lot of people posting big goals for the year, hooray, send them lots of love and show up and cheer for them. Know that you can also rest. Breathe. Do more yoga. Have long slow meals with simple ingredients. Buy nothing. Wear old clothes. Underschedule yourself. Take a break from social media. Go for a walk. Touch grass (or snow here).
