Last week I was blessed to be invited by Girl Scouts Daisy Troop # 2032 to come to their meeting. They chose my ministry as a beneficiary of their generosity and giving back and gave us a case of Girl Scout cookies 🍪 as well as a beautiful Daisy with loving sentiments about my ministry on them. What a wonderful group of young ladies I had the privilege of meeting!
Girl Scout Daisies (grades K-1) learn and live by the Girl Scout Promise and Law, which emphasize honesty, fairness, kindness, and service to others.
Girl Scout Law -"I will do my best to behonest and fair, friendly and helpful, considerate and caring, courageous and strong, and responsible for what I say and do, and to respect myself and others, respect authority, use resources wisely, make the world a better place, and be a sister to every Girl Scout.”
Guided by the amazing adults in their lives, these young ladies are well on their way to becoming amazing people with servant hearts đź’•

Remember being happy doesn’t mean you have it all. It simply means you are grateful for all that you have .

On Monday, my fellow LCC K-9 Comfort Dogs and I went to Buffalo Grove High School after their School Safety Officer Orlando Rivas passed away. A car struck a pole at dismissal and Orlando protected kids there and tragically died a few days after the incident.
Monday morning, we were asked to be present for the staff and students at Buffalo Grove High School. After the visit, my handler was asked what word came to mind when she thought of Orlando. Her word guardian. “Orlando Rivas was a guardian for many and I do believe he is now a guardian angel for them. Our dogs arrived this morning and assured the staff and students that they could turn to the dogs to guard and support their hearts while they learn to travel their paths without Orlando.”
Beautiful legacy left by a servant of others.

Yesterday was a full day! Full of comfort, hugs, and some big feelings.
I started my day at West Elementary in Sycamore early with Eunice Comfort Dog and Julia Comfort Dog to help the staff deal with the news of a coworkers difficult medical diagnosis. I was so glad to be helpful! Then Eunice and I went over to our monthly visit at Howard B Thomas Grade School and brought some smiles and tail wags ❤️
Each day, we do our best to bring light into someone’s life… can I challenge you to do the same?
Matthew 5:16
In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
