On this occasion students spent time at a senior center playing lotería and taking part in an exercise class before heading over to a local supermarket for a visit and some food.

Award-winning Cuban journalist, Liz Oliva Fernández, shared her most recent documentary and had a wonderful Q&A session with a packed house at MATC. We were honored to have co-hosted this successful event along with Marquette’s Center for Race, Ethnic, and Indigenous Studies AND the Coalition to Normalize Relations with Cuba.
