I’ve been experimenting with a new way to bake more sourdough loaves at once in my home oven, and I finally figured it out!

Not only can I bake more loaves in a single batch, but I’m also getting a much better oven spring. These loaves may look smaller at first glance, but they’re actually the exact same weight as before—they’re just taller instead of spreading out flatter.

Before, I could only bake two loaves at a time. Now I can bake more in one batch, which saves me a lot of time. It’s amazing how one small change can make such a big difference. Every bake teaches me something new, and this one feels like a big win! 🤎🍞🌾

Rustic Rise just made its delivery to the new Hurtado Farms location! 🌾

Just sharing a little chocolate beauty I made for a birthday celebration. 🤎🎂

Before anyone asks… no, I’m not taking cake orders right now. I simply wanted to share something I enjoyed creating.

This cake has the perfect balance of sweetness—rich, decadent, chocolatey, and not overly sweet. Finished with a light whipped chocolate ganache frosting that melts in your mouth, and an elegant chocolate drip, topped with dark chocolate shavings, it’s everything a chocolate cake should be.

Sometimes it’s nice to step away from the sourdough and make a beautiful cake just because I love to bake. ✨
