Join our student-led projects! PhIT is conducting several longitudinal projects throughout the 2022-23 academic year. These projects are student-led and can be tailored to any of your interests!

Our MHI/PharmD Student Panel is happening this Friday at 12:15pm on Zoom or in HSEC 2-110 in TC! Be sure to RSVP on z.umn.edu/phitfall21intro if you are interested in coming!

MHI/PharmD students will share their experience with informatics classes/extracurricular activities, and we will also talk about the leadership position that will be open to PD1s-PD2s soon. Be sure to come by if you are interested! There will be FREE chips and chocolate chip cookies!!

Interested in Health Informatics? The Pharmacists in Informatics and Technology (PhIT) Collaborative is holding a panel event with P3-P4 MHI/PharmD students. The first 10-15 minutes of this meeting will be a brief introduction about what PhIT is and our plan for the school year. The rest of the session will be a panel with current MHI/PharmD students, who will share their perspectives about informatics classes as well as extracurricular experiences and projects! Come meet us in person (HSEC 110 on TC campus) or on Zoom to learn about our events, projects, and leadership opportunities! Interdisciplinary Health Data Competition 02/13/2021

Interested in interdisciplinary collaboration and COVID-19 data analysis? The University of Minnesota Interdisciplinary Health Data Competition is a great opportunity for you to engage in the interdisciplinary dialogue on how to use data to address current healthcare challenges!

Students will complete an exploratory analysis of COVID-19-related data to assess health disparities and community impact of COVID-19. Each team must have students from at least 2 different colleges or schools within the University (Twin Cities campus), with a maximum of 5 students per team.

Registration period: 2/17 - 3/3
Competition period: 3/8 (data release) - 3/21 (project submission by 11:59 pm)

Awards:
First Place Team: $4,000
Second Place Team: $2,000
Third Place Team: $1,000

Competition requirements:
1-page Executive Summary, a PowerPoint presentation (max 20 slides) with a voice-over recording (max 20 minutes). Finalists will also virtually present projects to judges.
