Lake One is a real place near Ely, Minnesota. It’s the launch point into the Boundary Waters, where you swap roads for portages and noise for stillness. That spirit of navigating challenges, embracing the unknown, and finding clarity along the way is what shapes how we work with our clients.

A proposed sulfide-ore copper mine just upstream threatens to permanently damage the clean water, forests, and wildlife that make the BWCA what it is.

We’ve joined the GiveMN.org For the Love of the Boundary Waters fundraiser to help stop it. Our goal is $1,000 to support legal action, advocacy, and public awareness.

This spring one of our Outfitters met Bertha, a 7-year-old mastiff who spent her entire life in a cage as a breeding dog thanks to an Instagram post from eric.and.joey. After nine months in a shelter, overlooked due to her size and age, Bertha's story touched hearts across the country. Unfortunately, due to her size and some social issues, only one potential adopter met her needs, all the way in Oregon.

We teamed up with Eric and Joey financing their road trip to bring Bertha on the 2,000-mile journey that brought her to her new home on the West Coast.
