I still cannot get over the final results of the James Primary Bath. Wrapped in rich black tile and illuminated with warm brass accents, the space feels moody, sophisticated, and quietly dramatic. But the true star of the room is the custom natural stone sink.

Made from heavily veined Viola marble, the floating vanity becomes both a functional element and a piece of sculpture. The movement within the stone creates a one-of-a-kind focal point, reminding us why natural materials remain unmatched in their ability to bring depth, character, and authenticity to a space.

Paired with wall-mounted brass fixtures, integrated lighting, and warm wood details, the result is a primary bath that feels equal parts modern, timeless, and luxurious.

A Pause from Design for Community & Connection | A Celebration of Love and Chosen Family

This past weekend, a baptism brought a community together to celebrate not only the sweetest baby, but a bond between two families formed through necessity, compassion, and extraordinary resilience.

It has been several months since the height of Metro Surge here in Minneapolis, yet the effects are still felt deeply across our city, financially, emotionally, and personally. For many families, the uncertainty and hardship did not end with the headlines.

And yet, amid the fear and disruption, something remarkable emerged.

Neighbors showed up for one another. Communities organized, supported, and protected each other. Relationships were formed that will last a lifetime.

This baptism was a beautiful reminder that even in the most difficult moments, connection has the power to endure. What began as a response to hardship became something much greater: friendship, trust, and chosen family.

I am in awe of these two families. Their strength and capacity for love are reminders of the very best of who we can be.

May we all remember that we are more alike than we are different. That we need one another. That community matters. And that love wins, every time. ❤️
