Polls have closed, and all there is to say now is thank you. Thanks to everyone who collected signatures, knocked on doors, made calls, sent texts, and had conversations with friends and family about Question 2. Regardless of the result, YOU are our best hope for a safer future.
We also want to thank each of the 60+ organizations who make up this coalition, whether you were there from before the beginning or if you joined us in the past few weeks. Our power comes from standing together, and that is exactly what we have done.
And now we wait. Regardless of what happens in the next few hours, one thing is clear β Minneapolis has changed the conversation around policing and public safety, unequivocally stating that the two are not the same and that we can, and must, do better.
