🚨Minnesota friends: we need your help 🚨

The Humane Pet Store Bill (HF2627) is closer than ever to becoming law. This critical bill would prohibit pet stores from selling commercially bred dogs and cats. The goal? To help stop the "puppy mill-to-pet store pipeline" and instead encourages partnerships with shelters and rescues instead.

We need your help getting it across the finish line. This bill has passed four committees at the Capitol this year, and passed the Senate as a stand-alone bill. However, with the 67-67 divide in the MN House, both parties have to agree on bills that will come up for a vote. Right now, this bill is stalled.

That means your voice matters more than ever. Your Minnesota Representative needs to hear from you. Please call or email your state Representative. Unsure who your rep is? You can find that out here: https://gis.lcc.mn.gov/iMaps/districts/

Here is a sample script you can use if you choose to call your representative:
“Hello, my name is ____________
I’m a constituent of Representative ____________, living in ___________. I urge my Representative to support the humane pet store bill (HF2627). The bill has passed the House Commerce Committee and the House Judiciary Committee unanimously. Puppy mills are an issue I deeply care about, and I would love to see their support.
Thank you!”
