Serigraphics

We were honored to be tasked with the signage for Buzza Lofts—a building with a century of stories. Serigraphics were fortunate enough to leave a modern mark on a place that once started as a Self-Threading Needle Company in 1907, to a greeting card empire in 1923. In 1942, it was nicknamed “Little Pentagon” due to the government use during the Great Depression. In 1971 it was transformed to an educational space for the Minneapolis Public School, before finally being reborn as Buzza Lofts in 2012 – offering 136 affordable apartments.

From needles to notes, war rooms to classrooms, and now homes—this building has seen it all.

Simple, clean, and respectful of its history, our work helped bridge the past with the present in a truly meaningful way, while still honoring the the Buzza Company Building which was officially added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 24, 2012

On the production floor, every sign begins with sparks and spray. Welding torches light up the space with raw energy, while paint sprayers add smooth, deliberate strokes of artistry.

Captured in black and white, these moments reveal the true essence of creation—grit, grace, and craftsmanship. Because even without color, the process is vivid.
