For today's , we'd like to introduce Lasha! After returning home from a residential recovery program, Lasha learned about Recovery Corps and knew it was the perfect opportunity, and now, she's wrapping up her third term as a Recovery Navigator. In her role, she draws on her own experience in recovery to support others on their journeys.
"I am mostly looking forward to sharing hope with my community that recovery is possible," Lasha says. "I have a strong desire to help empower others to rebuild their own lives back to a place of peace and joy."
We're looking forward to welcoming her back for her fourth year of service in September. Thanks for all you do, Lasha!

Jesse is a father of two with a passion for the outdoors and backpacking. Prior to joining Recovery Corps, he worked as a community connector, helping people with disabilities and mental health disorders achieve greater independence and connect with their community. Now serving as a Recovery Navigator, Jesse uses his lived experience to support and encourage others on their own recovery journeys.
"I decided to serve with AmeriCorps because I wanted to help people struggling with substance use disorders," Jesse says. "Recovery opened a whole new world for me, and I want to be a part of bringing that new world into other people's lives."
We're proud to have you on the Recovery Corps team, Jesse! Thank you for choosing to serve.

Last week, Recovery Corps Program Coaches Jordan Fisher and Elena Schexnider attended the Kentucky Overdose Prevention Summit, joining partners from across the state to learn, collaborate, and strengthen overdose prevention efforts.
By connecting with new organizations, reconnecting with valued site partners, and engaging in conversations around evidence-based prevention and recovery support, they helped build the partnerships that make lifesaving resources more accessible. We're grateful to everyone who made these important conversations possible and look forward to continuing this work together.
