Abeer is a Recovery Project Coordinator serving with our first cohort in Kentucky! Outside of service with Recovery Corps, he acts as Co-Director of New Leaders Council Kentucky and hosts a monthly podcast for WUKY and NPR. Abeer describes himself as a lifelong learner with a passion for leadership development, public policy, and community empowerment.

This year at Voices of Hope, Abeer is making a difference in his community through volunteer training and mobilization, event coordination, and education outreach. “My favorite part of service is engaging members of the community and helping volunteers find meaning in their work,” he says.
