“Sometime in the 70’s when I was growing up, my dad became a Beekeeper and my parents became very active in the Beekeeper’s Association. One evening they brought home “The Honey Cookbook” and because, on occasion, Dad likes to dabble in the kitchen, Honey Pancakes became our new favorite Saturday morning routine. Made on a two-burner, six pancake griddle, seasoned with bacon grease & bee’s wax, and with a piece of crispy bacon in the center of each pancake, they were fabulous! Years later, my children — Dad’s grandchildren — still ask for their favorite breakfast, Grandpa’s Honey Pancakes. :-)”
