Mark your calendars and start searching the backs of your closets – the Slow Fashion Sale is returning July 9 - 11! 👕

Do you have garments you’ve made or mended that don’t quite fit or suit you anymore? Maybe pieces you just aren’t reaching for anymore? Consider us your matchmaker! We’ll find new homes for these items you’ve spent time and care creating.

Donation day is coming up on Wednesday, June 24, from 10 am - 7 pm. No sign up required!

By donating items to the sale, you’ll:
✨Get access to a special shopping time before the sale opens to the public!
✨Get the opportunity to promote yourself as an artist or small business by adding your own tag on your donated garments. We’ll feature some items on our social media in advance of the sale!

Are you concerned with the impacts of fast fashion, but finding that ethical alternatives are not always within reach? Shop unique, secondhand garments created and donated by members of our creative community at the Slow Fashion Sale!

Entry is free and open to the public! Keep an eye on our social media during the week of the sale for highlights and updates. Prices will range from $5- $75.

Get your new threads customized with onsite creative consultation + alterations with Minneapolis-based tailor and designer Abbie Kenyon! Abbie has over 10 years of professional experience, having spent several years in the costume shop at the Guthrie Theater, dressing performers on Broadway tours alongside stars including Beyoncé and P!nk, and working with Nordstrom and specialty shops across the Twin Cities. Her background in precision and performance now goes into every custom project she takes on. Make your new-to-you fashion finds true-to-you!

Y’all. We hit an all-time new record for the Textile Garage Sale… we raised over $100,000 ‼️ to support fiber art programming for all! 🧵

Thousands of pounds of textile supplies found new homes in the hands of new makers, while being diverted from landfills and incinerators. ♻️

Not only is this yearly fundraiser highly impactful in supporting Textile Center programs, but it also benefits our environment and provides an opportunity to purchase highly discounted fiber art supplies for artists of all levels.

This impact wouldn’t be possible without our incredible community, from our volunteers, shoppers, and donors to our staff and board. Thank you, thank you — and let’s do it again next year!

In the meantime, we’re working to get our space back in order to re-open The Stashery on Saturday, May 9. If you missed out on the Garage Sale, stop by for a fully restocked Stashery room!

Go green and ride your bike to the sale! Coupon will be provided upon entering the sale. Bike rack locations: 3 bike racks on our corner of University Ave SE and Arthur Ave SE, several large bike racks just west of the Light Rail Station on the corner of 29th Ave SE and University Ave SE (about a 2 minute walk)

Did your shopping success lead to too much to carry? Leave your items with a volunteer, and pull up your vehicle to our loading zone! The loading zone is just off University Ave SE on Arthur Ave (west of our building), and will be marked with signs.

▪️ If you arrive before your ticket time to get in line for the sale, the line will be formed outside – so dress for the weather!
▪️Wear good walking shoes
▪️2 hours of shopping time per ticket
▪️Cashless shopping experience
▪️Show your ticket on your mobile device (or bring a printed copy)
▪️Bring your own shopping bag, but do not bring a cart
▪️ No age limit — all shoppers need a ticket, no unaccompanied kids under 16
