Bus Transfer Fortunes

For some reason fortunes started posting to my personal page instead of this one. So here's a few that your missed.

I've touched on this before, but it's something I've been thinking about a lot lately. I've finally been setting up my new shop space and in the process of hauling everything over there, going through basically all of my supplies. It gets me thinking, "Why did I acquire this? Was it for something I WANTED to make? Or something I thought I could make & sell?" I'm really trying to focus on the things I really WANT to make. Some days when a fortune gets just 1 or 2 likes, I ask myself why I'm doing this. I started doing it as way to get myself writing every day though. So if I'm doing that, it doesn't really matter if people like it or not. I ended up doing the same thing with bikes I'd saved for other people. Admittedly, I'm feeling a bit jaded these days, but it feels freeing to not have my physical and mental space taken over by allotments I'm making for other people. To be fair, I'm just giving a lot of it away. I am seriously cleaning out though. Come dig through my pile of bike parts before the scrappers get to them.

What are we going forwards to? Digital media that you don't actually own? Garbage art "created" by AI. Mindless and endless scrolling? Fake food that's too expensive to eat? A world without water?

Get movies and music you can hold in your hand. Go to a museum or a friend's art opening, and see real art in person. Plant the garden. Make some art. Use your hands for something other than holding a box that fills your mind with all the worst news every hour you're awake.

The only way forward is back.
