When did your period return after having a baby? What was it like?
Breastfeeding can suppress ovulation which often means a delay in the return of the fertility cycle after having a baby. Exclusive breastfeeding with no other ni***es (i.e. pacifiers or bottles) offered to the baby is the most likely to keep a period away but for some any night time feeding will do it. It may be anywhere from 6 weeks -2 years. Called amenorrhea (no menstrual cycle), this doesn’t mean you can’t get pregnant as you will likely ovulate before your first period.
