Ground Pounders Percherons is a competitive draft horse hitch owned by Aaron and Traci Fagen of Granite Falls, Minnesota, often trained by Joe and Dakota Dolan of D & D Equine, LLC. They compete in high-level six-horse hitch competitions, such as the Western States Draft Horse Classic, aimed at promoting patriotism, supporting veterans, and showcasing Percheron horses.
The Percheron Breed
Origin: France, originally used for war and, later, as draft horses for agriculture and heavy goods.
Characteristics: Known for being large, yet agile with significant endurance. They often weigh over 2,600 pounds.
Appearance: Commonly grey or black, though other colors exist.
