The Bond Between Hospice Program

It is with loving hearts that we share the recent passing of Lil'Kii aka Luna. She was an owner surrender and shortly after arrival moved to the hospice program due to many medical issues. Her loving forever hospice foster gave her comfort and love thru many changes. Please keep her fospice mom in your thoughts for her words below certainly speaks to the beautiful connection they had.

Luna was with me for 10 months. She had a rough year with losing her loving owners and going suddenly blind along with her other health problems. Through it all she maintained her sweet demeanor. She loved people of all ages and enjoyed having company. Her favorite thing was chin rubs and she would purr softly when receiving them. She also loved our "conversations", she would answer me back with her raspy old lady voice when I talked to her. Her eyes were the most beautiful shade of green and she was the most beautiful girl inside and out. I miss her so much, a piece of my heart went with her. I take comfort in the fact that she will be healthy and able to see again at the Rainbow Bridge.

Please give a loving welcome to Daisy who has recently moved to hospice due to medical concerns after being surrendered. She has numerous spots throughout her body with suspected malignant forms of cancer affecting her lymph nodes. She has the most hopeful eyes when waiting for treats and did great at her hospice assessment appointment. Our Vetting center team has her feeling alot better with medication and a palliative care plan for her comfort.

Her loving foster family is very familiar with helping to navigate end of life journey for they have helped hospice dogs Chloe and Rocky aka Beau experience endless love, peace and comfort to the very end. She loves treats and would LOVE a heated dog bed.
