MSU Diversity Council booth at the Juneteenth Event in Minot. Dr. Zheng and I enjoyed our time greeting people and sharing information about campus activities. Aileen and her friends stopped in to say "hi".
Powwow volunteers needed
The Native American Center and Club are seeking volunteers to help with the 31st Annual Spring Honor Dance and Powwow Celebration April 30 and May 1 in the Minot State Dome. This is an honoring powwow for 2020/2021 graduates, learn more HERE. The event poster is HERE. Volunteers are needed in the following areas:
• Set up — April 29, 5 p.m.
• Food both - April 30, 2-10 p.m. and May 1, 10 a.m. until 10 p.m.
• Dancer/drum registration — April 30, 2:30-10 p.m. and May 1, 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
• T-shirt/raffle — April 30, 2:30-10 p.m. and May 1, 10 a.m.-10 p.m.
• Teardown—May 1, 9-11 p.m.
COVID-19 precautions are required by volunteers and powwow attendees. Email the NATIVE AMERICAN CULTURAL AWARENESS CLUB and include your volunteer information: name, contact information, area and time you are volunteering for. Miigwech (thank you).
