State Fair Parade announcements !
The theme for this year's parade is "250 years of heroes". Dress as patriotic as your heart desires!
We can park our rigs behind the Ranger Lounge before line up and MBS Truss Co has graciously given us permission to park our rigs in their lot after the parade begins. We must clean up after ourselves very very well in both lots.
Our number is 188. Our line up time is 8:45. See photo in comments for our spot on Broadway.
Candy may be distributed by handing over or directly dropping only. No chucking into the street or crowds.
We have one volunteer to scoop p**p, but would surely appreciate or or two more!
Pack your water bottles to stay hydrated, be safe and let's show the parade goers our beautiful horses and Minot Trail Riders spirit !

Bad news, horse show goers : the forecast for Saturdays temp keeps getting hotter and hotter. MTR is regretfully canceling the NWSCA show on July 11.
Please stay in the shade or AC and stay well hydrated this weekend. And watch out for possible rescheduling.

🚨Edit to original post : sorry about the confusion. To stay in compliance with the NWSCA rule book, all contestants must be in regular dress code for all judged events. Button up with long sleeves and hat are required. 🚨
Here are a couple announcements about the NWSCA open show on Sat, July 11th.
Due to the forecasted hot temperature, we will be moving the start time of the show to 8 am. The office will be open at 6:30 am. We will have coffee, muffins, bagels, and doughnuts for breakfast. If you want to pre register, please use this link:

We will have the grill on for lunch in the cook shack, and lots of cooled beverages and icy treats available.
Pack your sunscreen and canopies, and let's have ourselves a horse show!

Regretfully, we have to cancel fun night tonight, June 24th. While I'm sure we're all grateful our pastures are getting a drink, the arena has had a bit too much rain the last few days!
Stay tuned to our pages in the coming days, as we will have announcements about our upcoming Kerry Kuhn clinic registration and likely info about next weeks fun night. It looks like the weekend might be pretty soggy!
We are excited to announce that we have secured Kerry Kuhn to provide a 2-day Horsemanship, Ranch Riding, and Reining Clinic on August 1st and 2nd at the Minot Trail Riders grounds.
This clinic will offer riders an excellent opportunity to improve their horsemanship skills while learning from one of the industry's respected clinicians. We are currently awaiting the official clinic flyer and registration details and will share that information with everyone as soon as it becomes available.
For those traveling to attend, on-site camping will be available, and the Minot Trail Riders Cook Shack will be offering lunch options both days of the clinic.
Camping and lunch reservations can be made through our website at minottrailriders.com.
Please note that clinic registration will be handled directly through Kerry Kuhn, and registration instructions will be included when the official flyer is released.
We are excited to bring this opportunity to our members and the surrounding equestrian community and look forward to a great weekend of learning and riding.
Thank you for your continued support of Minot Trail Riders.
Sincerely,
Minot Trail Riders Board of Directors

Couple reminders for all horse people in the area.
Please only use our facilities if you have paid your 2026 participation fee.
If you do come and use the poles, barrels, or other obstacles, remove them from the arena when you are finished and latch all gates. Our tractor drivers and grounds people get super grumpy when they have to clean up after other's playtime.
Our cameras are reporting that not everyone is following the rules, and we would really appreciate your cooperation!
