As we close out an incredible weekend welcoming the Parsons Mounted Cavalry to the Mission Parade of Oranges, we want to extend our deepest thanks to every sponsor, donor, volunteer, and Aggie who made this event possible.

Because of your generosity and Aggie Spirit, we were able to host and feed 80 cadets all weekend, and the Cavalry left the Rio Grande Valley with $4,550 in scholarships. Your support made a real and lasting impact on these future leaders. 🐎

VMK Concrete is proud to recognize Karla Garza, Owner and Vice President of VMK Concrete, CEO of VMK Materials, for being invited to the Texas Governor’s Mansion to represent the Texas Aggregate & Concrete Association (TACA).

Karla made history as the first Hispanic female to serve on the TACA Board of Directors, an organization that represents nearly 90% of ready-mix concrete producers across the State of Texas.

In 2025, Karla was also recognized at the Texas Capitol through a House Resolution honoring her strides for women in construction and for being one of the only women leading the concrete industry both in Texas and nationally. Her leadership, vision, and relentless commitment continue to elevate VMK Concrete and pave the way for the next generation of industry leaders.
