Like many of you, this year has been somewhat of a cosmic 2x4 in my life and business. As we find our way in this new climate of uncertainty, many small businesses are having to reinvent themselves to exist. Initially, this felt really scary and unfortunate. But, after months of staying in survival mode, I’m now recognizing the distinct opportunity that is inherent in this shift.

Maybe it’s just the algorithm of who I follow (for my sanity), but I’m seeing some beautiful movement towards less corporate spending and an increased desire to invest money in more intimate, meaningful products and services.

As a society, we are craving connection. We’re seeking purpose. We’re truly believing that there has to be more to life than this. So, I sit in my home office today and ponder ways that I can make a bigger difference, be more in service, and show up in new ways for the people I love. When the s**t hits the fan, that’s when small businesses can have the greatest impact. You touch real people every day. You are a trusted ally. And this is your moment to shine.
