PRIDE: 6/19 Missoula marks 5 straight years of hosting its own Pride celebration. Welcome to all members of the LGBTQ+ community and their Allie’s and supporters. If you don’t know why Pride is held in June or you aren’t familiar with the Stonewall Uprising- look into it.

Juneteenth: 6/19 Friday marks Freedom Day. The Emancipation Proclamation was issued January 1, 1863. But it took over 2 years for this news to reach the enslaved people of Texas. This is a part of American history that needs to be marked and remembered.

ZooTown Music Festival: 6/20 The wildly successful festival started last year returns. It brings great talent to our town and injects life and currency into this community.

The Missoula Marathon- 6/28 considered one of the nation’s best, this year the Marathon brings a record 1,700 participants.

Just like some folks don’t understand Pride- I don’t understand running. But in this great country of ours, we are afforded opportunities to participate and enjoy the things that make us who we are.

Celebrate who you are.
Acknowledge those who came before and made things better.
Support Live Music.
And run like the wind.
Life is a marathon after all, not a sprint.
