On July 15 at 5:00 PM Mountain Time, Adventure Cycling members are invited to our next Campfire Chat: Advocacy 101: How Outdoor Recreation Advocates for Public Lands and Trails.

ACA's Ellie Zachary (Advocacy Program) and Jeffrey Mizell (Director of Routes) are teaming up with Taylor Rogers, Grasstops Advocacy Director at , for a practical introduction to outdoor recreation advocacy, from local grassroots organizing to national policy efforts.

Whether you're a longtime advocate or someone who's never been sure where to start, you'll leave this session with a clearer picture of how change happens and how you can be a part of it.

Members can register here: https://www.adventurecycling.org/membership/campfire-chats/

Plot twist! Delays and unexpected curveballs are part of what happens when we go on adventures.

Bike delays struck twice this month, with 's bikes being delayed and with ’s bike never showing up for his third attempt at the Great Divide. But Trip Longer re-adjusted their timeframe, and Ryan is starting fresh from Whitefish, Montana tomorrow where a new bike will be waiting.

That's the part of bike touring nobody puts on the postcard. We can plan as much as possible, but sometimes life has other plans. Often that’s when the adventure starts.

Here's to rerouted plans, rescheduled starts, and the riders who roll with both. 🚴

Heads up, riders: our HQ doors will be closed on July 3 in celebration of America’s birthday and ours! Adventure Cycling turns 50 this year, and we figured the country's 250th deserves a proper long weekend to go cycling (and eat some birthday cake🎂).

If you're rolling through Missoula and were planning a stop at headquarters, swing by before the 3rd, then catch us when we reopen Monday, July 6 🇺🇸🚲
