Mitchell Middle School Announcement

The Mitchell Middle School front office will close today at 11:00 a.m. and will reopen Monday, June 15th at 7:00 a.m.

After years of dedication, encouragement, and countless math lessons, Mitchell Middle School will be celebrating the retirement of Ms. Diane Way at the end of the 2025–26 school year.

Ms. Way has made a lasting impact on generations of students through her work teaching Math and MCL Math. Known for her patience, commitment, and ability to help students build confidence in the classroom, she has been an important part of the Mitchell Middle School family for many years. Her passion for education and genuine care for her students have helped shape not only strong learners, but strong young people as well.

Throughout her career, Ms. Way has gone above and beyond to support students and fellow staff members alike. Whether working through challenging math concepts, offering encouragement, or creating a welcoming classroom environment, she has consistently made a difference in the lives of those around her.

While retirement marks the end of a remarkable full-time career, Mitchell Middle School is fortunate that Ms. Way will continue sharing her talents next year in a part-time role. Her experience, knowledge, and caring presence will still be a valued part of the school community.
