As the nation celebrates National Apprenticeship Week, we are reminded that one of the best ways to strengthen the future of aerospace manufacturing is to invest in the talent right here in our community. Airbus is proud to announce that applications for FlightPath9 are now available for local high school juniors here: https://www.flightworksalabama.com/fp9/

FlightPath9 is a premier pre-apprenticeship program providing a direct, no-cost pathway into aviation manufacturing. We are looking for the next generation of innovators ready to learn and launch a career with global impact.

Through our partnership with Flight Works Alabama and Bishop State Community College, we offer:
- Industry Training: Earn 18 credit hours toward an Aviation Manufacturing certificate.
- Full Support: Tuition, books, and uniforms are 100% funded by Airbus.
- Direct Pipeline: Opportunity to transition into a full-time apprenticeship at our Mobile facility.

Apprenticeships are the backbone of our industry, providing the hands-on skills required to build some of the world’s most advanced aircraft.

Today marks 10 years since the first aircraft was delivered from our U.S. Manufacturing Facility in Mobile, Alabama.

That delivery was a defining moment, not only for Airbus but also the City of Mobile, the State of Alabama and the U.S. It represented the beginning of our journey that has taken us far beyond our initial expectations.

More than 600 aircraft later, from a site that has tripled in size, our progress is a testament to our team’s dedication to satisfying our customers with the highest quality aircraft and to the unwavering commitment of our community stakeholders and industry partners.

Looking to launch your career in aviation with Airbus Helicopters located in Columbus, Mississippi? Join the FlightPath9 Apprenticeship Program. This 10 week program is designed to prepare individuals for careers in aviation and to be eligible to become a full-time apprentice with Airbus Helicopters in Columbus, MS.

We had such a great time welcoming Covenant Christian in Mobile, AL to Flight Works Alabama for a field trip!
