The Sky Remembers
Okuma Beach, Okinawa – 2021
This was one of our last trips to Okuma before we left Okinawa. A storm was brewing—thick, moody clouds stretched across the horizon. But the sunset broke through just enough to gift us a surreal moment: the crescent moon glowing above, stars and planets quietly joining in.
The air, the food, the way of life—we miss it all. This night was one of the best we had on the island. The sky seemed to know we were leaving… and it gave us something to remember.
