🌀 TROPICAL STORM PREP: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW 🌀

Our area is expected to be on the outer edge of the storm, so evacuation isn't needed for most residents — but we should still prep our homes and stay weather aware. Here's how:

✅ Secure your home Bring in outdoor furniture, trash cans, and anything that can blow away. Trim loose branches and clear gutters/drains so water can flow.

✅ Charge everything Phones, laptops, backup batteries — gusty bands can still knock out power even on the storm's edge.

✅ Build a small kit Water, non-perishable snacks, flashlight, batteries, medications, and a phone charger — just in case of a short outage.

✅ Stay weather aware Follow your local National Weather Service office and local emergency management for updates. Conditions can shift, so don't tune out.

✅ Watch for flooding Even a glancing storm can bring heavy rain. Avoid low-lying roads and never drive through standing water.

✅ Check on neighbors A quick text or call to elderly or vulnerable neighbors goes a long way.
