Californians be voting for State Senate, State Assembly, and House of Representatives in November. But what does that mean?

The State Senate and the State Assembly are the State Legislature. Together, they work together to write, consider, and pass state legislation. They represent the voices, interests, and goals of California residents in the state government. There are 40 State Senators and 80 State Assemblypeople in California.

The House of Representatives are a part of the United States Congress. They work with the United States Senate to write, consider, and pass federal legislation. The House of Representatives are the voice of California's residents in D.C.! California has 52 representatives.

CalPride is a nonpartisan organization and does not endorse any candidate. We also appreciate the support that we have received from local candidates at Pride!

We hope to educate our communities and encourage voter registration, education, and participation. Make informed decisions, and support the campaigns YOU care about.
