THE HISTORY OF SANTACON: SantaCon originated in San Francisco in 1994 as a Cacophony Society event to mock Christmas consumerism. Santas wandered the city, snuck into parties, spread holiday chaos, did harmless pranks and enjoyed good cheer.
MODESTO SANTACON (organized by festive locals) has kept the original spirit alive by offering this FREE event for 16 years.
BE AWARE of other out-of-town SANTACON organizers who are just out to scam you by charging for their SantaCon events. They are lining their own pockets and completely miss the vibe of the original SantaCon. KEEP THE GREED OUT OF SANTACON.
