Some of the best ideas happen when teams come together.
As we get closer to Fresh Pack season, team members from Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and the Evaporation departments came together for a collaborative learning session focused on the principles of evaporation.
Led by Sam, Director of Evaporation and Steam Generation in Production, the team had the opportunity to share knowledge, ask questions, and learn from each other’s different perspectives.
It was great to see the conversations happening throughout the room and the collaboration between teams. These moments are all about continuing to learn, finding ways to improve, and working together toward the same goal. Getting the freshest tomatoes into every can.
Thank you to everyone who participated and continues bringing our Core Values to life as we prepare for Fresh Pack season.

The Fresh Pack season is getting closer, and there is a lot happening behind the scenes before the first tomatoes arrive.
One thing you might see and hear around the cannery this time of year is water can testing. Teams across Production run cans filled with water through the lines as they test equipment throughout the facility. The process allows teams to check, inspect, and recheck many different areas to make sure everything is operating properly and ready for the season ahead. Then the cans are recycled and the water reclaimed, so nothing goes to waste.
Behind every test run are knowledgeable team members checking, adjusting, troubleshooting, and working together to prepare for the Fresh Pack season. Their efforts are critical to help ensure the cannery is ready when the first tomatoes arrive.

May was a month of preparation, growth, and appreciation for the people who make this work possible.
We welcomed back seasonal employees during registration, continued growing our team for the 2026 Fresh Pack season, and kept our focus on the important work ahead.
We also had the chance to celebrate a special milestone: Matt’s promotion to Regional Sales Manager. His leadership, dedication, and care for our customers are a great reflection of the people who help move Stanislaus forward.
As July gets closer, the excitement is building. Fresh Pack is one of the most important times of the year for us, and we’re grateful for every person who helps make it happen.

Since joining Stanislaus Food Products in 2022, Matthew has made a strong impact through his leadership, training, and dedication in the field. His background in restaurant operations, foodservice, and business development has helped him build strong relationships and support growth across his markets.
Most recently serving in the Hybrid Trainer role, Matthew played an important part in supporting and developing Brokers and Business Development Representatives across the team.
