Metaxu (the place between worlds)

There are times in a life, and ian age, when something unmistakable shifts.
Not with spectacle, but with a quiet, irreversible knowing.
We are no longer who we were.
And not yet what we will become.
We stand in the threshold.
Simone Weil called this space metaxu
the in-between
the bridge between the visible and the unseen,
between what has been and what is not yet formed.
She taught that these in-between places are not empty or void
They are filled with the necessary things:
beauty, longing, memory, love
that carry the soul across.
Not as destinations, but as passage.

We are living in such a time.
The old world, with its structures and illusions, is loosening its grip.
And before us is something we cannot yet fully name.
This work came through me as that moment.
Not the ending.
Not the arrival.
But the knowing.
A reminder that we are not lost.
We are in transit.
And that this movement forward
can be conscious
can be willing

can even be joyful.
