This year, I had 3 students receive their first NFMC trophies at the Quad Cities Festival held in March. These students have worked hard for the past 3 years to prepare 2 pieces, memorize and perform for an adjudicator, and have achieved a Superior rating each year to earn this trophy.

The Pleyel's serial number was the key to unlocking the piano's past. Pleyel Serial No. 133165, manufacturing No. 21237, small model (2 meters 46 centimeters), original finish: rosewood veneer, end of manufacturing: November 10, 1904, sold December 20, 1904, bought by Marguerite de Saint-Marteaux, at 100 Boulevard Malesherbes in Paris for 3,600 francs.
