Happy Wednesday everyone! I’m starting my day at my new normal time of 6:15 am with my favorite drink and a smile. As I pulled up to order my latte this morning the barista shared that my drink was paid for by the person in front of me. A random act of kindness to turn my week around was just what I needed! Thanks so much to whoever was in line in front of me that decided to leave cash for the next order. Let’s all find a way to spread kindness today and pay it forward! 💜

Summer is already half way over for many of our area schools. Now is the perfect time to make sure your child is up to date and ready for the new school sports season.
🏅 SPORTS PHYSICALS MADE EASY
Your child’s yearly well visit at Hartman Pediatrics = their sports physical!
✅ Annual wellness exams count as sports physicals for most schools and sports organizations.
📝 Need a school or sports form completed?
Just bring it with you—we’re happy to fill it out during your visit.
🏥 Skip the urgent care.
Your child’s primary care provider knows their medical history and is the best place for a sports physical.

The weather this week is fantastic for outdoor summer fun! Summer is meant for making memories, not painful sunburns.
☀️ Sunburns happen fast—but a little TLC can help your child feel better!
If your child gets a little too much sun, here are a few simple ways to help them recover:
💧 Stay hydrated – Encourage plenty of water (or milk for younger children) to help replace lost fluids.
🧊 Cool the skin – A cool bath, shower, or damp washcloth can provide soothing relief.
💊 Ease the discomfort – If your child is uncomfortable, an age-appropriate over-the-counter pain reliever may help. Always follow dosing instructions or contact our office if you have questions.
🌳 Avoid more sun – Keep sunburned skin covered and out of direct sunlight until it has healed.
🌿 Moisturize – Apply pure aloe vera gel or a gentle fragrance-free moisturizer to soothe the skin.
🚨 Call your healthcare provider if your child has:
• Large or severe blisters
• Fever, chills, or vomiting
• Signs of dehydration (dry mouth, dizziness, decreased urination)
• Severe pain or swelling
• A sunburn in an infant under 1 year of age
🧴 The best treatment is prevention! Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen, reapply every 2 hours (and after swimming), wear hats and protective clothing, and seek shade during peak sun hours.
Stay safe and enjoy the sunshine! ☀️💜
