Calvary Kids

Our weekend wrapped up in 32 pictures, only because I didn't want to upload all 217 pictures and videos at once.

We witnessed new friendships evolve and old friendships grow. We watched kids fall in the lake (with a life jacket on!) and a leader jumping in to help one of them out. Kids got to overcome their fear of heights to go down the zip line.

Kids were covering themselves in shaving cream from head to toe, so they would go an extra 10 feet down the slip-n-slide. One of our leaders is regretting it today, because he forgot how old he was. We all learned how intense the game of 9-square is. We were fed until we couldn’t eat anymore.

We got to witness 46 kids pour out their hearts through prayer, conversations, and worship, to a Jesus what is worth following. They learned the importance of maintaining their God-given identity in a world that wants to steal it. We talked about how good leaders have to be willing to stand out and be different. And, as we follow God with all of our hearts, people will see and God will be glorified.

Most importantly, we can’t do any of this on our own. Only God can make what we think is impossible into something POSSIBLE.

We had a blast at our 4th (and largest!) Annual Glow Night event! We tried something new this year, and did an Amazing Race-style game! The kids had 13 challenges to get through to make it to the end. Lots of 9-Square, nachos, dodgeball, and silliness was had. Looking forward to next year…but first- CAMP!
