Greg Keller of Quad City Back the Blue Flight shared what organizers hope active and retired law enforcement officers will experience when they return home from Washington, D.C., on Sept. 9.

After visiting the National Law Enforcement Memorial, the National Law Enforcement Museum, the Capitol, and other important sites, Keller said the most powerful moment may come when the plane lands back in the Quad Cities.

His hope is that officers step off that plane and see a community waiting to welcome them home — families, friends, supporters, and neighbors gathered to show appreciation for their service.

That welcome home is at the heart of Quad City Back the Blue Flight: making sure law enforcement officers know they are valued, respected, and supported by the communities they serve.
