The summer heat was high, but so were the spirits at Moline Parks and Recreation Department’s “Party in the Park” event last night! ☀️ 😎

We enjoyed our time helping kids create “hoop gliders” and sharing more about our program! 🎊

Last Saturday AKWAABA QC celebrated their “Community Navigators” 🎉 These fierce men and women tirelessly give their time to help Newcomers from foreign countries successfully assimilate into our community. 💕 They deserve all the recognition for their kindness!

We were honored to attend, and delighted to hear from guest speaker Rep Gregg Johnson!

Through their partnership with local schools, Parent Mentors support teachers, work one-on-one and in small groups with students, and help strengthen connections between families and education. Their commitment to engaging, uplifting, and empowering families creates meaningful opportunities for student success both inside and outside the classroom.
