These handspun Acadian Brown Cotton tassel earrings are one of my favorite ways to celebrate Louisiana fiber.

Each pair begins with naturally brown cotton grown in Louisiana using regenerative farming methods. Then, I spin the cotton into yarn by hand before turning it into lightweight tassel earrings. The warm brown color comes straight from the cotton itself—no dye needed.

Finished with nickel-free brass findings and a fun bohemian style, they're a wearable piece of Louisiana's textile history. 🌿

Acadian Brown Cotton is a rare heritage fiber that has been preserved through the efforts of farmers, seed savers, and artisans. I'm honored to play a small part in sharing its story.

These naturally dyed cotton sliver bundles begin as USA-grown organic cotton and are dyed by hand in my studio using natural dyes like indigo, cochineal, weld, acorns, black walnuts, marigold, cosmos, and coreopsis. Every color comes from plants, insects, or other natural materials, creating shades that can't be replicated with commercial dyes.

Cotton spinning is so worthwhile. It's lightweight, cool to work with during hot weather, and a wonderful way to expand your spinning skills.
