At only 12 years old, Eniola Shokunbi developed an affordable air filtration system capable of eliminating more than 99% of viruses. What began as a school assignment has grown into a major public health solution. Supported by $11.5 million in state funding, her invention is now helping keep classrooms safe throughout Connecticut.

EMMA WEST HAS BEEN FEEDING THE HOMELESS ON THANKSGIVING DAY FOR 20 YEARS: Emma West is an elderly woman who has made it a mission to serve hot meals to the homeless on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Last year, she served over 150 people from her South 2nd Street garage. Without taking a photo or trying to profit from outreach, she's been quietly doing her part to make the world better.
She's preparing to do the same this year as the days tick down to Thanksgiving Day.
