Our community has been through a lot over the last few days. Many of our small, locally owned businesses were forced to close because of the power outage, and some had to throw away thousands of dollars worth of food and inventory.

As power is restored and businesses begin reopening, let’s show them just how much this community cares. Skip the big chains this week and choose local whenever you can. Grab a coffee, order dinner, pick up dessert, shop a local boutique, or support a family-owned business in any way you can.

The truth is, small businesses need our support all year long—but right now, they need it more than ever.
