Advancing Black health and wellness justice through collaborations with Black communities and socially conscious partners

07/12/2026

Build community wealth together through self-reliance, shared responsibility, and mutual support. Community thrives when we share information, resources, and encouragement instead of trying to manage everything alone.

Health Focus: Community care is easier when we notice changes early rather than waiting for pain or mobility issues to become more apparent.
Health Practice: Support someone’s health journey by helping them track symptoms, or get to care sooner rather than later.

We all have a part to play in our communities, big or small. Whether it be through our voice or our actions, any one person has the potential to make lasting change within their community.

Health Focus: Bone and sarcoma cancers are most frequently diagnosed in children or young adults, both can affect a person of any age.
Health Practice: Pay attention to important symptoms such as unexplained swelling, bone pain, or frequent and unexplained fractures.

Hold faith in yourself, your community, and the future you’re building together.

Health Focus: Faith can be a quiet strength, especially when someone is trying to manage a health concern that has been easy to ignore or push aside.
Health Practice: Follow through and take the symptoms seriously; schedule the appointment, and encourage someone else to do the same when something doesn’t feel right.
